Snowflake Christmas Garland

There's nothing like Christmas in winter time. Having grown up in America there's a part of me that will never get used to a hot Christmas. So I'm glad that wintery decorations are still the traditional type in Australia. Takes me back to my childhood.

There are a lot of perks to having a hot Christmas though! I'm glad I've gotten to experience both. Christmas in Summer means you get to have cold yummy seafood/meat platters for Christmas dinner and you can go to the beach on Christmas day. You can play sports outside with the family and enjoy Christmas outside that winter in most part of the states just wouldn't allow.

Having said that I do miss sitting right next to our old fire place and drinking hot coco with my sisters looking at the beautiful tree at night listening to the crackle of the fire.

Anyhoo. With the season fast approaching now is the time to get your decorating on and so I've begun with making a snowflake garland.

It's super easy. Just take yourself back to primary school craft time and you'll find your way.

I used old book paper for my snowflakes and then sewed them all together.

I'm feeling good now that I've started the ball rolling on the decorations. I'll be going to the flower markets this week to get things to make a wreath and deck out our fireplace with all things christmas!
