We left a sweltering Sydney/Australia in
the throws of a hot hot heat wave to go to the USA, which is experiencing the
aftermath of being hit by a freezing Artic Vortex.
To be honest I’m not complaining. Being
pregnant the heat is not my friend. The heat has never been my friend in fact
but now we are bitter enemies.
I guess you could consider this trip as a
“baby moon” for Dan and I. We have
wanted to travel for a little while now but then we fell pregnant and had to
rethink our travel plans. We knew the second trimester is the best for travel
and so we set our plans in motion.
The US seemed like the best and safest
option as if anything bad happened the states is the best place we would want
to be stuck.
I grew up in the states and haven’t been
back since we left in 1998. Dan has never been and I’m so glad he gets to
travel to some of the places I grew up. I’ve seen most of the places that Dan
grew up and I’ve always wanted him to see and experience some of my childhood
too and now he gets to and we also get to see places I have never been either!
Anyhoo, I’ll try and post as much as I can
whilst away and also do some post “posts” of the trip when I get back. I’ll be
snapping way too many photos but loving every minute.
I hope you enjoy some of the posts/photos
I’ll be putting up and I just have to say that I’m so excited to be travelling
and with my mister too!
First stop NYC baby! Blake our good friend
will be with us for our stint in NYC too. Travelling with friends is so much
fun!
